Spring Creek Watershed Partners and Flint Creek Watershed Partnership announce 3 upcoming free seminars for homeowners in 2012:

February 22, 7pm;  The Science of Septics?  John CopenHaver of the Lake County Health Department Individual Drainage Disposal Program will explain how septic systems work, what a homeowner needs to do to maintain and protect their septic and answer questions residents have about protecting our waterways by protecting your septic system.   

March 21, 7pm;  Shorelines 101;  An expert from Integrated Lakes Management, recognized locally as the best team for shoreline maintenance will discuss this subject.  Whether it is your lake, pond, or stream-bank.  Come hear about basic maintenance strategies to protect your water quality, reduce algae and maintain good fish habitats. 

All programs are open to the public, free of charge, and will be held at the Countryside School Multipurpose room, 205 W. County line Rd., Barrington Hills (the southwest corner of Brinker Rd, and Lake Cook Rd).
